This Piece is an Original Watercolor and Ink on Panel that I made into a digital image for print.
I Found some Art inspiration in Arizona last week. Charlie Weisel and I were in the desert for a short weekend visiting friends and family; while celebrating our nieces High School Graduation. Due to weather we were forced to fly down instead of ride motorcycles. Seeing as though we were traveling in a mode we don't do often we decided to go all out!
We rented a convertible, stayed in a nice hotel, and spend a weekend eating good food and relaxing with the people we love. As a result of our max relaxation, we set our alarms and went for an early morning hike. I took more pictures of cactus than I would like to admit, but well we were in Arizona and Colorado doesn't exactly have a plethora of these creators.
The Cactus in this Piece really caught my attention, I mean seriously this little guy was my favorite. It had tiny bites out of him that healed with time but made the cactus look like hearts fading into the background. I had to take the photos back to the studio to paint him.
